O Comic Con Delicious Brunch O's

Arena Engaged. Prepare Thyselves! (Theeselves?)

You. I've seen you. Let me see your face... You are the one from my dreams. Then the stars were right, and this is the day. The day we have our first newsletter of the season, announce a new guest, and open the arena floor for vendor sales, that is. Phew! Replaying Oblivion during our summer break was fun, but it's time for the OCC crew to return to doing what we do best: working hard to make O Comic Con 2017 (July 7th, 8th, and 9th at the Mid-America Center) a reality as beautiful as a Varla Stone.

Our first order of business? To announce that we have officially opened floor sales for vendors and artists.

This year, O Comic Con wil be expanding into the ENTIRE Mid-America Center. Yes, the whole building will be teeming with wares to buy, panels to attend, and great photo opportunities. This expansion means that our expo floor will now be housed on the gargantuan Arena floor, and we want YOU to come sell with us.

For brick-and-mortar stores, OCC is a fantastic opportunity to expand your clientele and make new connections. It's also a great selling opportunity for anyone who does art, makes crafts, or sells collectibles. Our event thrives on having a great mixture of business types, and our attendees enjoy browsing a wide variety of goods. Won't you check out our vendors' site and consider buying some space on our 2017 Arena floor?

Have You Met Our Guests?

We're pleased to welcome our newest guest, Alison Arngrim, to our event! Alison has parlayed her notoriety as frequent receiver of prairie comeuppance Nellie Oleson on Little House on the Prairie into clever and hilarious writing and television projects. She has maintained a presence on stage and screen and is an activist for children's issues. Read more about this awesome lady on ocomiccon.com by clicking the photo below. Welcome, Alison!

Alison is joining the ranks of previously announced guests David Yost and Rob Paulsen. Our aim is, as always, to find guests who not only have done interesting things in media, but also who are known for being funny, insightful, and overall awesome to be around. We can't wait to keep sharing our roster additions with you!

A Non-Creepy Love Song for 2016

As the year winds down, we'd like to take one last opportunity to thank all of our attendees, vendors, exhibitors, and panelists for 2016. Our event attendance grew from 6,500 to 8,500 in 2016, and it seems like every person I have encountered has been even nicer and more fun than the last. The overall vibe of the show was rainbows and butterflies on a kitten cloud. Seriously, thank you for being so cool.

If you haven't gotten a chance to, I highly recommend that you check out the official event photos by BPI Multimedia. I will take every opportunity to brag on Brent, who takes beautiful photos, and on all of the cosplayers and attendees who allowed him to photograph them. Something genuine and special shines through in each image, and we love having these amazing artifacts through which we can remember the event.
